My name is Kiana Fraser-Handel, pronouns she and her, I am a graduate of City Tech and my dream is to land a career in Illustration and Character Design. I am a dedicated and hard-working person who is eager to learn new skills and expand my horizons. I consider myself to be a serious individual and a perfectionist when it comes to my artwork; this tends to make me hard on myself and overthink. But it also helps me think about what I need to work on and how to improve my art. However, despite this, I can be a loyal and easygoing person who enjoys the fun moments in life.
I started drawing as a toddler and my love for art grew as I became older. I used to draw a lot back in middle and high school, using my notebooks and loose paper. Back then I was a loner and had a hard time expressing myself. Drawing helped me express my emotions which eventually helped me make friends. There was a time when I lost my passion for it during my two years at City Tech, but I found it again in my Junior year. I mostly draw landscapes, animals, anime, and anthropomorphic characters. I use traditional mediums, such as micron ink pens, pencils, markers, gouache, acrylic, and watercolor paint. I also use digital mediums like Adobe Fresco, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign. I am intermediate with the programs but believe I will become a professional with enough hard work and dedication.
